The Contra Costa County Fire Explorer Program will announce recruitment at the end of the calendar year. Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram for the latest information, this is the social media platforms we use to announce the recruitment. 

The recruitment process involves attending an informational meeting where we discuss the programs goals and objectives. We will answer any questions you may have and also discuss the next step in the process.

You will be required to pass a written test based on a subject selected for the recruitment cycle. You will also have to perform a physical agility test to insure you are physically prepared to be a fire explorer.

Upon completion you will be placed on a list in order of score and asked to join the program as openings occur.
